Why is horrible bosses movie rated r
Nick's boss is just a jerk and is only mean to Nick and no one else in the office. Kurt hates his boss because his original boss who he adored just died, and now his coke head son is taking over for him. Dale's problem with his boss is that she has a sex addiction and is constantly trying to have sex with Dale.
But Dale denies because she is always using vulgar terms, acts inappropriately, and Dale just got engaged. The three guys happen to be friends and one night ask the question, If you could kill your boss and get away with it, would you do it?
They end up agreeing on this and saying yes and then the fun in Horrible Bosses begins. The film has a fair amount of crude and sexual content. This is mostly because of Jennifer Aniston's character, the sex addict, who makes strong sexual references and innuendos to Dale throughout the movie. She even succeeds at sleeping and sexually flirting with another man she doesn't even know for 10 minutes but sex takes place offscreen and talked about afterwards among other characters.
Kurt is known to be a womanizer and ends up having sex twice in the movie one woman is married but sex takes place off screen. While talking on the phone with a man, its implied a woman is masturbating in her bathtub as she is laughing but there are no sex noises or sounds. Julia Jennifer Aniston takes pictures of herself having sex with Dale while he is asleep at work we see the pictures but no sensitive body parts are shown. She shows the pictures to him and threatens to show them to his soon to be wife.
Besides the sexual content in the film, there is also strong sexual innuendo and references. There is some violence but it is a comedy and we barely see any blood. A character shoots himself in the leg.
A man goes to another man's house and shoots him two or three times but this is only shown from a distance. There is some drugs but we never see them actually being used by the coke head and no one else.
There is only one part where a character accidentally drops a box of cocaine and accidentally inhales it making him go crazy for the rest of the night.
It's very crude and it definitely deserves the r rating, but Horrible Bosses is so funny that sometimes it even hurts. Adult Written by thefade December 13, Adult Written by BestPicture May 10, Very fun film with no morality! There isn't a dull moment in "Horrible Bosses," a fairly original concept that combines what most blue collar types have wanted to do in their lives, and your Hollywood movie. My complaint is that we never got to know the characters well I certainly sympathized with them, though Spacey, Aniston and Farrell are all deliciously wicked employers especially Spacey who classes up the picture with his imposing presence.
I just would've liked to know more about these people, but perhaps the enjoyment of this film was just sitting back and laughing at other's pain for a while! Adult Written by lolajola July 30, Sexual abuse isn't funny, not ever. Teens and kids can NOT analyze such a message on their own, so if they see it, it should be with a lot of guidance from parents who can explain that sexual abuse is NEVER funny in real life.
Adult Written by Mandin October 13, Amazing, but for adults This movie is hillarious but for mature people. Good Comedy for Adult Time The female horrible boss shamelessly harasses her employee sexually while talking about his anatomy in a vulgar way, and also wants to have sex with him on top of his fiance.
If you decide this movie is a good pick for your kids, then you are wasting your time on this website, because obviously there is nothing to hold back. Three men plan to kill their bosses. This movie includes implied prostitution, racially tense situations, dirty jokes, objectifying men and women, and it's freakin hilarious.
One character pulls out a gun, fires several shots, and kills a man; there's a little blood. In another scene, a character stabs a man several times with a hypodermic needle in an effort to alleviate a fatal allergic reaction. A character is punched out. The main characters also sometimes squabble amongst themselves, slapping and hitting each other.
One is sexually harassed by his boss. No nudity, but very heavy sexual innuendo. One female character is constantly trying to seduce a male character. She appears with nothing on except a lab coat which covers all her sensitive parts , taunts him with phallic imagery, and uses strong sexual language.
One of the main characters is a serial seducer; he flirts with several women and sleeps with at least two of them off screen. Another man also flirts with, kisses, and fondles many women. There's a scene involving a man who urinates on other men for pleasure, but nothing is shown. Almost-constant strong language includes nonstop use of words including "f--k" and "s--t" in all their variations , plus "py," "bitch," "a--hole," "c--k," "prick," "d--k," "balls," vagina," "faggot," "damn," "crap," "hand job," "goddamn," "douchebag," and "Jesus" as an exclamation.
A mention of Applebee's, an image of a FedEx delivery person, and an image of someone playing Angry Birds. One of the bad guys has a cocaine habit, though he's never seen snorting. The main characters accidentally drop a box containing cocaine and get a massive contact high from breathing the airborne powder.
One of the heroes is tricked into gulping a glass of Scotch at work. The guys drink beer in a bar after work. Parents need to know that this funny-but-raunchy comedy earns its R rating with scenes that include violence guns and shooting, some fighting , heavy sexual innuendo though no nudity , and almost constant foul language including "f--k," "s--t," "py," and much more.
Plus, one of the movie's villains has a cocaine problem, and the main characters are seen accidentally getting high as well as drinking. Of the three main characters played by Jason Bateman , Jason Sudeikis , and Charlie Day , one is a serial seducer who sleeps with more than one woman during the movie, but the others -- despite planning to murder their evil bosses Kevin Spacey , Colin Farrell , and Jennifer Aniston -- are generally good-hearted people. Hoping for an elusive promotion, Nick Jason Bateman is forced to suck up to a maniacal CEO Kevin Spacey ; Dale Charlie Day is engaged to be married but works for a sexy, sexually aggressive dentist Jennifer Aniston ; and Kurt Jason Sudeikis finds his dream job at a chemical plant threatened when the boss' cocaine-addicted son Colin Farrell unexpectedly takes charge.
They hire a "consultant" Jamie Foxx and begin preparing for their homicidal plan. But it's not long before things go horribly, hilariously awry.
Director Seth Gordon The King of Kong , Four Christmases has the good sense to simply step aside here, letting his cast goof around and bounce off of one another like so many rubber balls. Each character finds a nice niche and runs with it: Bateman plays the straight man, Day is the "dumb one," and Sudeikis finds a nice middle ground. The villains are clearly having a terrific time, too; Aniston is at the top of her game, and Spacey is on familiar territory.
Only Farrell seems to be trying something new here with broad comedy, and it fits him well it appears, judging from the bloopers at the end, that some of his scenes didn't make the final cut, which is a shame. Especially cathartic for today's luckless job-seekers, the movie's humor is highly raunchy, but it has enough inventively playful moments between characters to make the movie memorable for a long time to come.
Expect many genuine belly laughs, rather than just the usual surprised chuckles. What makes them different from their bosses? At least two characters think about sex most of the time and sleep with more than one partner. Is this a healthy outlet for them? What could they do differently?

You don't want to know what she does with one after aiming it at Dale's netherlands.
The third boss is Bobby Pellitt Colin Farrell , almost unrecognizable. Bobby has taken control of the company from his beloved father Jack Donald Sutherland and uses it to fund a lifestyle of wretched excess. His employee Kurt Jason Sudeikis was a protege of the old man, and now watches with horror as Bobby runs roughshod over environmental restrictions in order to increase short-term profits.
Nick, Dale and Kurt meet after work on too many days to bitch and moan about their bosses, and one night, become inspired to murder them. This leads them into an unsavory bar in search of a hit man, and they meet a man named Jones Jamie Foxx , even the initials of whose nickname don't belong in a family newspaper, qualifying as they do as a familiar adaptation of one of Carlin's seven words.
The movie, directed with cheerful and wicked energy by Seth Gordon , is situation slapstick, much of it set as many desperate lad pictures are outside the houses of the targets, as the plotters peep and spy. There's a particularly ingenious series of scenes involving Kevin Spacey, one of them finding a legitimate excuse to recycle perhaps the single most famous shot of " Pulp Fiction.
Spacey is superb, but the surprise for many may be Jennifer Aniston. Her career has drifted into such shallows that it's possible to forget how good she was in a film like " The Good Girl " Here she has acute comic timing and hilariously enacts alarming sexual hungers.
Roger Ebert was the film critic of the Chicago Sun-Times from until his death in In , he won the Pulitzer Prize for distinguished criticism. Rated R for crude and sexual content, pervasive language and some drug material.
Jason Bateman as Nick Hendricks. Colin Farrell as Bobby Pellitt. Jamie Foxx as Jones. Jason Sudeikis as Kurt Buckman. Charlie Day as Dale Arbus.
